400+ Constituency Tours
As of early 2012, JP toured Kukatpally 400+ times in less than 3 years. 100+ times a year. 8+ times a month. Nearly thrice a week.
Some people think that JP is seen not enough; this is because there are no ugly banners, flags and noise surrounding a typical official tour!
Victory in Fateh Nagar
When JP was elected, some people challenged that a long-pending road in Indira Gandhi Puram in Fateh Nagar can never be completed. We took this up and the road and the rehabilitation of the affected residents is almost complete! Watch the 30-second video clip.
Welcome to Kukatpally Now
Dear visitor, this is the website of JP, the MLA of Kukatpally. Ever since JP got elected, Lok Satta supporters and people interested in good politics have been curious about his effectiveness in Kukatpally. After all, the good people of that constituency gave a break to clean politics by voting for an honest person who did not distribute money or liquor during the elections. JP has substantially repaid the faith by engaging in total developmental activities most of which are documented here with proof and with testimonials from the residents.
After waging a battle on the scale of Kurukshetra, JP and team finally saw the opening day of the flyover. Our thanks to all the residents for their patience and our congratulations to the engineering team also.
Click here for a summary of this issue and watch the YouTube video of JP's speech during the opening.
In addition to serving the people of Kukatpally, JP raised the profile of an MLA in the Assembly with substantial contribution to policy issues and with the quality of his discourses that are on par with the best in the world. Some of the salient contributions of JP are:
Proposed the Anti-Corruption Bill to amend the State's Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, to curb corruption in the state by including elected members under civil servants
Advanced All-Party resolution to elect Deputy Speaker from the Opposition
Opposed amendment to Andhra Pradesh Societies Act claiming that it is against the right to form unions as per the Constitution
Opposed populist schemes in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Andhra Pradesh Budgets
Pressed the need for gas grid and industrial development
Demanded investigation into land and natural resource allocation scams and provided evidences

Benefits to Thousands of People
More than 20,000 people benefited in one way or the other due to JP's efforts in the areas of employment, public grievances, preventing cheating from middle men, drainage, food, water, school and toilets. We have new supporters, especially women, of all classes across the colonies. More than 2,000 low-income youth could avail employment opportunities because of our job melas. Several people visit our office every day either for jobs or for solutions to small problems or for discussions or to volunteer. That itself shows how much credibility we have in the constituency.
Setbacks
Despite a lot of good work, things are far from perfect. Traffic continues to be a problem and things are getting delayed due to bureaucratic hurdles that we are constantly trying to overcome. JP recently got a sanction of hundreds of crores of funds and is working on permissions for lands from various government agencies and we hope to see results in less than a year. In several other areas, lack of volunteers on the ground is preventing us from doing more.
Open 9:30AM to 6:30PM, 7 days a week (please call before visiting on Sundays and holidays)
